Supporting the recovery of Building 22, home to the Educational and Scientific Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Management.
Building 22 at 115 Borshchahivska Street is part of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and serves educational and laboratory activities in energy saving and energy management.
The building was seriously damaged by blast waves caused by several missile strikes near the university campus.
Damage to Building 22
Building 22, used by the Educational and Scientific Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Management, suffered severe damage following several enemy attacks near the territory of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
The blast wave damaged classrooms, laboratories and technical spaces across the building. Almost all classroom and laboratory doors were blown out, and more than 60% of windows across the building were destroyed.
Educational and laboratory equipment used by the institute’s departments was also affected. No casualties among staff or personnel were reported.
After the attack, the Department of Power Supply appealed to alumni, students, faculty, partners and friends of the university for support in restoring the building.
What Needs to Be Restored
Recovery of Building 22 requires coordinated restoration of windows, doors, educational spaces, laboratories and damaged technical equipment.

Replacement of destroyed window systems and protective glazing across the damaged building.

Restoration of damaged classroom and laboratory doors to return safe access to educational spaces.
Laboratory Equipment
Assessment, repair and replacement of affected educational and laboratory equipment.

Restoration of classrooms, laboratories and technical areas needed for education and research continuity.
