The Faculty of Chemical Technology operates in two university buildings, including Building 4 at 3 Akademika Yanhelia Street and Building 21 at 122 Borshchahivska Street.
The historic chemical technology building was damaged by a blast wave that affected windows, doors and the surrounding area.
Damage to Chemical Technology Facilities
The Faculty of Chemical Technology is located in two buildings of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute: Building 4 on Akademika Yanhelia Street, where the dean’s office is located, and Building 21 on Borshchahivska Street.
The blast wave damaged windows in the historic chemical technology building and affected educational spaces used by the faculty.
Windows and doors were blown out, while fragments were scattered both inside the building and across the surrounding area.
A nearby architectural monument was also damaged, increasing the importance of careful and responsible restoration of the affected university environment.
