Supporting the recovery of Building 18, home to the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Science at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

Building 18 at 41 Politekhnichna Street is part of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and supports education in informatics, computer science, software engineering and digital technologies.

As a result of attacks, the building suffered significant damage to windows, doors, communications and educational equipment.

Damage to Building 18

Building 18, used by the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Science, was affected by enemy attacks that caused significant damage across the university campus.

The building suffered damage to windows, doors, communications and parts of the educational equipment used for informatics and computer science education.

The impact caused major financial losses, damaged thousands of square meters of glass and affected technical infrastructure needed for safe and continuous academic work.

There is no information about casualties among students or university staff as a result of the building damage.

What Needs to Be Restored

Recovery of Building 18 requires restoration of damaged windows, doors, communications, educational equipment and technical infrastructure used for informatics and computer science education.
