Supporting the recovery of student community infrastructure at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
Dormitory No. 19 is located at 146 Borshchahivska Street and provides accommodation for Ukrainian and international students of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
The building suffered damage to residential spaces, furniture, windows, doors, roofing elements and engineering communications, including disruptions to water supply and electricity.
Damage to Dormitory No. 19
Dormitory No. 19, part of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute student housing system, was affected by blast waves and building damage caused by attacks on nearby areas of Kyiv.
The dormitory houses students of the Faculty of Chemical Technology, related engineering and applied science programs, the Faculty of Sociology and Law, the Faculty of Biotechnology and Biotechnics, as well as international students.
The damage affected furniture, windows, doors, student rooms, roofing elements and engineering communications. Interruptions to water supply and electricity were also reported.
Recovery support will help restore safe living conditions, repair essential infrastructure and preserve access to student housing for both Ukrainian and international students.
What Needs to Be Restored
Recovery of Dormitory No. 19 requires restoration of damaged furniture, windows, doors, student rooms, roofing elements and engineering communications, including water and electrical systems.
Windows & Glazing
Replacement of damaged windows and glazing systems protecting residential and shared spaces.
Doors & Interior Access
Restoration of damaged doors, access points and internal circulation areas throughout the dormitory.
Student Rooms & Furniture
Repair of affected residential rooms and replacement or restoration of damaged student furniture.
Water, Power & Engineering Systems
Recovery of roofing elements, engineering communications, water supply and electrical systems needed for safe accommodation.
