Dormitory No. 20, part of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute student housing system, was affected by blast waves and building damage caused by attacks on nearby areas of Kyiv.
The damage affected furniture, windows, doors, student rooms, roofing elements and engineering communications required for safe student accommodation.
Interruptions to water supply and electricity were also reported, affecting the daily living conditions of students residing in the dormitory.
Recovery support will help restore safe living conditions, repair critical infrastructure and preserve access to university housing during wartime.
What Needs to Be Restored
Recovery of Dormitory No. 20 requires restoration of damaged furniture, windows, doors, student rooms, roofing elements and engineering communications, including water and electrical systems.
Windows & Glazing
Replacement of damaged windows and glazing systems protecting residential and shared spaces.
Doors & Interior Access
Restoration of damaged doors, access points and internal circulation areas throughout the dormitory.
Student Rooms & Furniture
Repair of affected residential rooms and replacement or restoration of damaged student furniture.
Water, Power & Engineering Systems
Recovery of roofing elements, engineering communications, water supply and electrical systems needed for safe accommodation.
