Institute of Materials Science and Welding

Supporting the recovery of Building 23, home to the E. O. Paton Educational and Scientific Institute of Materials Science and Welding.

Building 23 at 6/2 Dashavska Street is part of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and serves as an educational and scientific base for materials science and welding engineering.

The building was seriously damaged by blast waves caused by missile strikes near the university campus.

Damage to Building 23

Building 23, used by the E. O. Paton Educational and Scientific Institute of Materials Science and Welding, suffered significant damage following attacks near the territory of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

The building was established on the initiative of Borys Paton and serves as a training base for welding production specialists at different levels of education and professional development.

The blast wave damaged educational spaces, laboratories and technical areas across the building. Windows, doors and parts of the educational and laboratory infrastructure require restoration.
